Episodes 4, 5, and 6 are all up on the film section of the website HERE!!!
So had a bit of a gap from the blog's for the last almost a month. Since getting the sails in Sydney it has all be a little full on with getting back to Tas and the New Year period.
Episode 4 shows the last of our Sydney cruising while we waited for the sails to be finished off.
Episode 5 we finally get the mainsail and have a good day of testing in Cronulla filmed by Ethan from PureAerials in Cronulla. The next morning head South towards Tasmania for Christmas. Now we are a sailing cat Michael will be incorporating some sailing stats about ROAM into the movies and will also be putting these in his blog soon (hopefully today if I can get him to sit down near a computer). Amazing trip from Cronulla to St.Helens with varied conditions we managed an average speed of 9 knots with a top of 21.4 knots have a watch of the film!! I also threw a boat tour on the end if you want to see how we live on ROAM (boat tour alone is also in the Vessel section).
Episode 6 is all about Tassie!!!! We cruise from St.Helens to the Freycinet National Park staying in Wineglass Bay and Coles Bay, bit of a party in Scamander on boxing day at Santa Sessions, then explore the amazing Ile Des Phoques, a seal colony island pitted with caves and tunnels. From there we head through Marion Bay and the Dennison Canal, explore the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, then head South around South East cape and South Cape for some real remote wilderness and some fun waves.
Currently we are at Salamanca in Hobart provisioning for a trip round to Port Davey, hoping to depart on Monday night.
Thanks for watching, let me know if there is anything you want to see more/less of. Episode 7 is my favourite so far!! Stay tuned.
