Multi's of Noumea

On our last evening in Noumea Andy and I took the tender, a couple of beers, quite possibly the last box of original pizza shapes in existence and a camera for a lap of the harbor to perv on the multi's calling the place home.

There is something to be learned and gained form each and everyone of them and I would have loved to get a sail on so many, just to pick up ideas and learn the differences from ROAM.  I am always looking for what works well and what doesn't etc and expand my knowledge of sailing catamarans.

I have never really followed the French designs so much and there are lot of designs I have never heard of or seen before.  I have tried to do some internet research on some of the designs we saw but not a lot came up on some.

The carbon masts, the daggerboards and the slender hulls were in force.  This is not even a quarter of all the multi's there and only really the unusual or striking.  Keep an eye out for the Etincelle,  she's pretty special.  The couple of Schionning designs down the bottom were right up there too.

Anyway hope you enjoy the pics below.  Here in Fiji now there is a Outremer 5X and a very Gunboat esque Morrelli and Melvin 52 for me to stalk and try and get a ride on.
