Vision from the Boat Works

We built ROAM near St. Helens in North East Tasmania.  ROAM is the first boat we have built.  I needed to learn from others but the closest similar boat is 2-3 hrs drive away to see only one or two.  You South East Queenslanders are LUCKY!

To have the keys to all the beautiful boats pictured below for a day to document their designs, systems and set ups would be phenomenal.  You could learn more in a few days than years on one boat.

On this Saturday evening we didn't have the keys to these fine yachts but we did find the keys to the Shed i16 golf cart.  Liss and I loaded up our bluetooth speaker, some refreshments and spent the sunset "magic hour" boat perving with not another soul in the yard.

What we saw were the largest number of amazing vessels in one place I have ever seen.  All patiently waiting for their next adventure.

These are the shots of the aesthetic angles.  The rocker line, appendage and rigging setup comparisons are for the bank vault ;)

Enjoy,

Mick

Below are 3 boats also at the Boat Works.  They were not on parade out the back but too cool not to include here.

This is the only long therm world cruiser with an open bridge deck I saw this year.  I briefly met the American bloke that owned it.  A Kurt Hughes design I believe.  On the right day it must be a phonominal boat to passage make on!

Matt's impeccably finished Lidgard/Fusion 40.  The attention to detail on this boat is exquisite.

And last but definitely not least is Drew and Jo Wooler's awesome Prescott Designed Likety Split 2 looking very offshore ready with as many furlers as a Imoca 60!  #smalljibsoffshore
